Friends, Romans and countrymen, lend me your ears!
I've been a lazy birthday bird, and haven't yet finished editing my journal entries from the last section into a coherent post. But I want to reassure you after my last post that everything is going well!
We arrived in Superior yesterday morning and were swept up in a whirlwind of generosity from the Superior trail angels, Al and Mary-Jo. I met my internet friend Lorax for the first time in person - I know him from the PNT19 Facebook group, but we never actually met until now. He's a vandweller too, and staying n Tucson for the winter, and met us on trail to with hot coffee and snacks. He gave me a bag of Nutter Butters (my favourite) and spicy mexican candy. Chilling in town, we were joined by another pair of hikers on the AZT, one of whom I knew slightly from the PCT last year. A fifth hiker arrived in the afternoon, and I've been occupied with napping, eating, and joking around.
